Plus cancellation and refunds
Straightforward billing, with room to make mistakes right.
This policy applies only to DwellPact Plus subscription charges. It does not govern rent payments, security deposits, landlord payouts, or returns of tenant funds.
Four rules at a glance
Cancel a trial before its displayed end and you will not be charged. Cancel a paid plan online before renewal and it will not renew. The first paid Plus charge can be fully refunded when requested within seven calendar days. An annual renewal charge can also be fully refunded when requested within seven calendar days. Other paid time is generally nonrefundable and is not prorated, subject to the exceptions below and rights that cannot legally be limited.
Free trial
An eligible landlord account may receive one 14-day Plus trial. Secure checkout shows the exact trial end, the price and interval that will begin afterward, and the automatic-renewal terms. Cancel through the billing portal before the displayed trial deadline to avoid the first charge. Canceling during the trial leaves Plus available through the trial end unless checkout or the portal states otherwise.
Monthly and yearly renewals
Monthly Plus renews each month at the price shown in checkout. Yearly Plus is paid up front and renews each year at the price shown before purchase or in a lawful change notice. Taxes may apply. You may cancel online through DwellPact’s billing portal at any time before the next renewal deadline. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid period, so Plus remains available until then and no further subscription charge is made.
Seven-day refund windows
We will provide a full refund of the first paid Plus subscription charge when the account holder requests it within seven calendar days after that charge. We will also provide a full refund of a yearly Plus renewal when requested within seven calendar days after the renewal charge. An approved full refund ends the corresponding paid Plus period and returns the account to Free; DwellPact does not delete property records merely because paid access ends, but Free-plan capacity and feature limits apply.
Charges that are not ordinarily refundable
After the applicable seven-day window, monthly subscription charges, monthly renewals, partial billing periods, unused time, plan downgrades, and promotional or discounted periods are nonrefundable and do not receive a prorated credit. Cancel before the next renewal to prevent the next charge. We may make a discretionary service credit or exception, but doing so once does not require the same result in another case.
Errors, unauthorized charges, and legal rights
We review suspected duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized DwellPact subscription charges regardless of the ordinary refund window and will correct confirmed billing errors. This policy does not limit chargeback rights, statutory cooling-off periods, or another cancellation or refund right that applicable law does not allow us to waive. Rent-payment returns are separate transactions controlled by the landlord, the original payment method, provider rules, and applicable rental and payment law.
How to request a refund
Use the DwellPact support page or email dwellpact@gmail.com from the address associated with the subscribed account. Include the account email, charge date, amount, Stripe invoice or receipt identifier if available, and a short reason. Never send a complete card or bank number. We aim to confirm eligibility or request needed information within five business days.
How approved refunds arrive
Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method; they cannot be redirected to another card or bank account. The credit commonly appears within approximately five to ten business days after Stripe submits it, although the bank, card issuer, payment method, a failed refund, or a reversal of the original charge can change how and when it appears. Taxes are returned when required and supported by the transaction record.
Policy changes
Material changes apply prospectively and will be posted with a new updated date. A change will not remove a refund right that already attached to a completed charge, and mandatory legal rights always control.
